Nixon Library Elvis Stamp First Day of Issue

It is sometimes amazing what things you may find when packing up belongings for a move.

Such is the case with the following.

I found two copies of a postal card from the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace. On the front is the famous photo by White House Photographer Ollie Atkins of President Nixon and Elvis Presley.

On the reverse, is a U.S. Postal Service postage stamp of Elvis Presley. The card indicates that it was stamped January 8, 1993, on the first day of issue of the Elvis stamp. I forgot I even had these.

Note the "whopping" price of the stamp: $.29!

In the same batch of stuff, I found a thank-you card from actress Noel Neill for the birthday present I gave her at her 85th birthday celebration in Studio City and a letter from the executive director of the Nixon Library thanking our Cub Scout pack for offering to help with the grand opening of the Nixon Library.
